Overview

BARDIA RISTORANTE PERSIANO (FOOD ALPI), nestled on Via Tuscolana in Rome, offers an authentic taste of Persian cuisine that resonates with both locals and travelers seeking something beyond the familiar Italian fare. This intimate restaurant, though modest in size, creates a cozy atmosphere where warmth flows as naturally as the traditional Doogh—an Iranian yogurt-based drink that accompanies many of its signature dishes.

The heart of Bardia lies in its kebabs, particularly the Kabab Koobideh and the Chenje Kebab, which showcase the rich, smoky flavors that define Persian grilling techniques. These are beautifully paired with staples like Polo rice, often saffron-infused, adding subtle aromatic complexity to the plate. While a single review noted occasional inconsistencies with the rice preparation, the overall quality and seasoning of the main dishes remain consistently praised.

Beyond kebabs, the menu surprises with offerings such as Persian-style pizza, blending cultural influences in an accessible way for a diverse clientele. The restaurant’s location near central Rome makes it an approachable gem for anyone eager to explore authentic Iranian flavors without straying far from the city’s bustle.

Patrons frequently commend the attentive and friendly service that complements the culinary experience. The staff’s genuine hospitality enhances the inviting ambiance, allowing guests to unwind and immerse themselves in a vibrant atmosphere filled with a chorus of international voices. This dynamic environment reflects the restaurant’s appeal to a wide-ranging audience—from longtime lovers of Persian cuisine to curious newcomers craving a flavorful adventure.

In sum, Bardia Ristorante Persiano stands out as a culinary destination where authenticity meets warmth. It suits diners who appreciate traditional Middle Eastern fare crafted with care, within a welcoming setting that invites return visits. Whether it’s a casual lunch or a relaxed dinner, Bardia offers a memorable immersion into Persian gastronomy right in the heart of Rome.

I recently visited this Persian restaurant and overall had a great experience. The food was amazing — we ordered the Kasa Kebab and Shalizi Kebab along with Dugh, and everything was full of flavor and beautifully seasoned. However, the only downside was that the rice wasn’t cooked very well. The prices are very affordable, and the service was excellent — the staff were friendly and attentive. The place itself is small but clean, which made for a cozy dining experience. I’d definitely go back.

In the past two years, I’ve been here more than a hundred times. It’s definitely my first choice for Iranian food. The price-to-quality ratio is amazing the food is always top quality. The staff are extremely kind and friendly, and the location is super accessible. I absolutely recommend this place, and it will definitely remain my number one choice.

Despite arriving late in the evening, we were greeted by the restaurant's warm and welcoming staff who, despite their evident fatigue, made us feel truly welcome. The restaurant's vibrant atmosphere immediately stood out - a delightful babel of languages echoing around us, highlighting its international appeal and ability to satisfy diverse palates. We chose the Chelo Kabab Koobideh, often considered the crown jewel of Iranian cuisine, accompanied by Doogh< (a traditional Iranian yogurt drink!). Both the quality and portion sizes exceeded our expectations. This dish perfectly exemplifies why Iranian cuisine remains a hidden gastronomic treasure that many travelers have yet to discover. For those seeking to explore beyond traditional Italian cuisine, this Persian restaurant offers a remarkable culinary journey that promises to surprise and delight your taste buds.

5 indian stars from me for food. Service,…I guess it was always harsh in where I lived, as long as no rudeness, who care? They bring you food, you pay (with zero extra charges bullshit like other spots in Rome). The set up is done at their best, but overall, it felt congested n dense. For people who look for a good food at an unbearable price, I highly recommend. Ignore some complaints about service, even if no one worships you here, they treat you not too bad.

This restaurant for sure is the best in the whole Italia. I went to a lot of Persian restaurants all around Italia Bologna, Rome, Florence, Turin, Milan But at the end, Bardia Is the top. Their Stews Are the best. all of them are fresh home-made and with a high-quality. Kebabs are always fresh soft with pleasant smell. They have daily menu, which guarantee that every food you’re going to order are nice and fresh. I think this restaurant also can compete with a lot of restaurants in the Iran. The chef and the restaurant manager are very nice and friendly and they are definitely very open heart and professional.

Food Alpi is a true gem. The dishes are full of authentic Persian flavors — everything tastes fresh, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. The kebabs were tender and juicy, the rice was fragrant and fluffy, and the saffron aroma made the whole meal unforgettable. The staff were very kind and welcoming, making the experience even better. The atmosphere is cozy and elegant, perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. I’ll definitely be coming back — highly recommended to anyone who wants to try real Persian cuisine!
